Real Estate in a changing world - Understanding and managing occupier risk
27-28 June 2013 - Homerton College, Cambridge
IPD comes together with SPR to bring together researchers, academics and practitioners and presides at the forefront of modern research and specialist market insight. This year’s event explores the new challenges for the real estate industry in the wake of a period of unprecedented change.
The RealWorld Conference is now in it's 9th year and this year will open with a series of sessions focused on events that have shaped and will continue to shape occupier behaviour. The economy, technology and the internet, the leasing market and environmental and regulatory issues have all endured rapid change and transformed how occupiers use real estate.
The second phase of the event will focus on how investors can adapt to the modern occupier market. The implications on portfolio management, cash flow modelling and risk management will be explored - ranging from technical papers to applied real world examples.
Iain Reid has been confirmed as the Chairman for the IPD/SPR RealWorld Conference 2013.
Iain was CEO and CIO of Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers European regional operations until March 2012. In addition he was chairman of the European Investment and Client Risk Management committees and continues as chairman of their Nordic Retail Fund.
