MSCI are consulting on a proposal to change the methodology for the MSCI Property Fund Indexes to use one single method: the Time-Weighted Return Methodology with adjustment for daily-weighted external cash flows. This will affect the MSCI/AREF UK Quarterly Property Fund Index. The roundtable aims to gather members opinion on the proposals within MSCI's consultation. MSCI will be present only at the beginning of the event to give a short presentation on the consultation, members will have the oportunity to discuss their thoughts on the proposals with AREF.

Ray Adderley

Head of Performance & Investment Process, Real Estate, Nuveen Real Estate

Ray provides investment management oversight across Nuveen Real Estate, ensuring consistency in the investment process and performance culture.

He works closely with the investment and finance teams to ensure the business delivers investment performance for our clients. He is a member of the European and Asia Pacific investment and real estate debt investment committees, executive risk and compliance committee, operating committee, pricing committee and product committee.

Ray graduated with a B.Sc., Honours, in Land Management from the University of Reading. He is a member of the research and information committee for the Association of Real Estate Funds, and the U.K. MSCI real estate advisory group, and was appointed to the Management Board of the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (“INREV”) in 2019.

Bert Teuben

Vice President, Index Management Research, MSCI

Bert Teuben is responsible for MSCI’s Real Estate New Product Research and specializes in developing new index and analytic methodologies, overall index quality as well as conducting research for the private real estate indexes. He joined one of MSCI’s predecessors in the Netherlands in 2004.

Bert holds an MSc in Architecture, Building and Planning from the Eindhoven University of Technology under the master program for Real Estate Management & Development.
