Listen to the replay of our first Crisis Forum below, open to all AREF members and very well ‘virtually’ attended on 7th April 2020.

AREF Managing Director, Paul Richards, began with a brief overview of the association’s recent activities on behalf of its members, before handing to John Forbes to moderate the panel session. The expert panel shared their insights of the last few weeks and discussed various issues, including: dealing with material valuation uncertainty; the regulators’ view; UK vs international; open and closed-ended funds; investor reactions; audit trails; the importance of good communication; dealing with tenants; debt servicing.

We would like to thank John Forbes for moderating the session and the panel for their candid discussion and responses to questions. The panel were as follows:

  • Sarah Walker, Senior Counsel, Travers Smith
  • Guy Glover, Fund Manager, BMO Real Estate Partners
  • Paolo Alonzi, Global Head of Real Estate Business, Aberdeen Standard Investments
  • Rob Short, Managing Partner, Langham Hall

If any member has a particular issue or topic they would like addressed or revisited in our next Crisis Forum, please contact Clare Whyte or Eve Holloway at AREF.
