On Thursday 2nd October, around 30 people joined us for our first ever Charity Walk, in support of Regeneration Brainery and kindly sponsored by Alter Domus.

The evening began outside The Gherkin, St Mary Axe, where walkers collected their AREF Charity Walk T-shirts before setting off on a relaxed 3-mile route along the Thames. It was a warm evening, with just a light shower as the group crossed Tower Bridge, but otherwise perfect conditions for a riverside walk.

We were delighted to be joined by five Regeneration Brainees and Ambassadors, giving our members the chance to meet and chat with young people aspiring to careers in real estate, as well as those who mentor and support them.

The walk finished back at The Gherkin, where Alter Domus generously hosted food and drinks for all participants. This was a great opportunity to network, reflect on the walk, and hear more about the work of Regeneration Brainery.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part, to all those who donated, and especially to Alter Domus for their generous support in hosting the event. Thanks to your contributions, every pound raised will go directly to Regeneration Brainery, helping them continue their award-winning work inspiring and mentoring young people from underrepresented backgrounds across the UK.
