On Tuesday 13th February, our FutureGen Network embarked on our first tour of the year, exploring 8 Bishopsgate. The journey kicked off with refreshments and networking at the brand-new Upper Corner Cafe.
Developed by Stanhope and Mitsubishi Estate, 8 Bishopsgate is a new landmark 50-storey tower in the City of London. The building is the UK’s tallest BREEAM Outstanding and EPC ‘A’ rated building. Its sustainable credentials have been achieved through innovation, using both sustainable and smart technologies, with an AI integrated analytics platform to capture and share energy usage data, reducing demand on water and waste, and integrating the highest solar panels in London, securing them at heights of 200m above ground to achieve 100% of building electricity from renewable sources.
