The AREF Annual Dinner & Awards was held at London’s The Savoy Hotel on 27th September - and what a fabulous night it was!

Hosted by our Chairman, Adrian Benedict and proudly sponsored by Aztec Group, this was the first Annual Dinner we have been able to hold in three years. It was lovely to see everyone come together again after such a long time and The Savoy really did a great job at making it a very special evening for us all.

During dinner, Adrian presented the Annual Awards, where each year the association recognises achievement and contribution by our members and others who support the work of AREF. Very big congratulations and thank you to all the winners, and indeed to the runners-up also.

Details of all the awards, the winners and runners-up can be found here.

There was some great entertainment during the evening, with magician, Jamie Seagrave spellbinding guests during the champagne reception in the River Rooms. In the splendour of the Lancaster Ballroom, as we digested the main course, the very affable comedian, actor and author Miles Jupp, shared his thoughts on our industry, amongst other things, in his usual, highly amusing, self-deprecating manner. After dinner, we were treated to some excellent live jazz back in the River Rooms, as our members and guests had a nightcap, or few, from the bar. The jazz band was provided by Masters students attending the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama – such talent, remember you heard them here first!

We would like to thank everyone who worked together to deliver such a great event, including Aztec Group, who have generously sponsored the last three Annual Dinners now. Our thanks too, to all our Members and their guests for making the night so special.

Plans for next year’s Annual Dinner & Awards are already underway!
