On 19 December the Government published their updated response to the Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill: reforms to national planning policy consultation. This was published alongside an updated National Planning Policy Framework. This follows the interim update to the National Planning Policy Framework on 5 September 2023, which reflected specific changes relating to onshore wind projects.

Consultation

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities (DLUHC) published, in December 2022, a consultation to seek views on how they might revise national planning policy to support the Government's wider objectives. AREF's response to the consultation was submitted on 2 March 2023.

AREF's Residential Funds Working Group assisted in drafting the response and also, AREF liaised with other organisations to ensure our responses were aligned.
