How will the Government’s new Nature Restoration Fund reshape the planning landscape? And what will it mean for investors, developers, and the wider real estate industry?
Join us on Tuesday 24 February 2026, when we’ll be joined by Natural England, for a deep dive into one of the most significant planning reforms in recent years.
After many months, the Planning and Infrastructure Bill has now received Royal Assent. Part 3 introduces a new approach to meeting certain environmental obligations by allowing developers to contribute to a central Fund. The Act introduces Environmental Delivery Plans (EDPs) and a Nature Restoration Fund intended to fund strategic nature recovery. The Government’s aim is to speed up the development process while improving environmental outcomes through coordinated, landscape-scale action.
However, the proposals have drawn both strong support and significant criticism from regulators, NGOs, environmental professionals and others.
So, will the new approach create opportunities or pose further obstacles for the sector?
If you want to understand how the new legislation might impact your developments or affect your clients, then join us to find out the latest!
