This seminar showcases 'PropTech' and how innovative solutions are improving the operation of our industry.  We will discuss the importance of data processing, how to accomplish the aims of your business by using data more effectively in the future and the challenges that new technology creates for the real estate industry. 

The event will also include a 'Tech Exhibit' where a host of PropTech providers will be exhibiting and demonstrating their software and services during the pre & post event networking.

Speaker/Panellist Biographies:

Sebastian Abigail

Senior Director, VTS

Sebastian is a qualified chartered surveyor with over a decade of experience in the property industry.  Before joining VTS - the industry's No. 1 platform for Leasing and Asset Management - he specialised as a leasing agent at Knight Frank, where he went onto form a specialist team responsible for sourcing innovative technology solutions for clients.  Sebastian's experience of working with commercial real estate owners - and their consultants - across the capital stack has earned him a position as a trusted technology specialist.    

Alex Bray

Head of Alternatives & Property Systems, Aberdeen Standard Investments

Alex Head of Alternatives and Property Systems at Aberdeen Standard Investments.  He is responsible for the key strategic applications used to support the Fund of Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Property Multi-Manager, Infrastructure, Pan-Alternatives and Direct Property business areas.

Enrico Faccioli

COO, Gyana Ltd

Enrico is Chief Operating Officer at Gyana since 2018, a big-data startup that provides insights into physical places and businesses using human mobility data.

Prior to this he worked for Legal & General Investment Management and is the founder of YouGuide, a travel app that unlocks hidden gems in a city via user-generated content. 

Oliver Farago

CEO, Coyote Software

Oli is the CEO and Co-Founder of Coyote. He has been fundamental in scoping, designing and developing Coyote since its beginning in 2009. In fact, for the first three years of Coyote’s journey, he wrote every line of code himself. Prior to Coyote, Oli was one of the founding partners and CTO of M7 Real Estate.

Oli has now been at the forefront of Real Estate technology for over 12 years. Oli spends his day working with a team of 25 on everything from the strategic growth and direction of the company, helping design new product features / functionality to demoing the platform and onboarding new clients.

When Oli is not busy with Coyote or his family, he loves scuba diving and flying helicopters.

Andrew Miller

Executive Vice President, Head of Real Estate Technology , CITCO Ltd.

Andrew is an Executive Vice President, Head of Real Estate Technology for Citco Client Fund Services, and was previously Managing Director, Head of Real Assets Technology for over ten years at TIAA/Nuveen Asset Management. As a senior technology leader and strategist, Andrew has designed, built, launched, and supported new technologies, businesses and partnerships to drive performance gains in real estate investments. Over an 8-year period at TIAA, Andrew built a team of ~50 in support of the growth of real estate and alternative investment assets under management from $90 billion to $190 billion. He managed 4 global M&A technology integrations. To support finance, investments, and operations for a portfolio of $80 billion in real estate assets, Andrew delivered a single comprehensive, consolidated and integrated cloud-based platform, with 1,200 global users including asset managers, property managers, and fund accountants. Andrew is a past board member of OSCRE and has implemented OSCRE standards and data model in multiple functions. Reflecting Andrew' industry leadership, in 2012, he was awarded the Digie Industry Impact Award by Realcomm for the "best use of automation in investment management."

Keith Phillips

Director, Membership & Enterprise, The Investment Association

Keith is responsible for membership wide relations, enterprise and market development. Previously, he held similar positions at TheCityUK and the British Bankers Association (BBA) where as Managing Director Enterprises, he was responsible for the organisation's commercial activities and expansion. He has a background in banking and related financial services and has held senior positions at Prudential UK and Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. 

Keith is responsible for the IA's FinTech innovation hub, Velocity, and will be seeking to engage PropTech solutions for the benefit of our sector.

Hannah Prideaux

Business Development Director, District Technologies Ltd

Hannah is passionate about the built environment and has 12 years of real estate experience in both the corporate and PropTech worlds. She started her career at Savills where she qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and continued in the advisory space at PwC, before moving into PropTech.
 
Recognising the change in how people are engaging with and using real estate, Hannah joined District Technologies in September 2018 as Business Development Director. District is a mobile-first platform that is digitising the user experience for people in commercial and residential buildings.
 
She works with landlords and large occupiers to help them connect and engage with their building users via District’s technology. This is creating truly modern building experiences and enables an understanding of how their buildings are being used, to ultimately make data driven decisions.

 

Nick Wright

Senior Director & Strategic Consultant , CBRE

Nick Wright is Senior Director, Strategic Consulting-Investors at CBRE where he is responsible for supporting CBRE's strategic consultancy and wider advisory offer for clients in the private and public sector.  Previous to this he was Head of Business Development Real Estate at KPMG.
