Promoting Best Practice

Congratulations to those AREF Funds who have been awarded the AREF Quality Mark 2022.

It is a requirement for all Fund Members of AREF to confirm annually their compliance with the AREF Code of Practice.  We promote 'Best Practice' wherever possible and each fund's level of compliance with the Code is recorded on our unique Self Certification Matrix each year (click here to view). Funds awarded our Quality Mark can then display this on client reporting and marketing literature. 

With investors in real estate funds increasingly looking at governance, our matrix and Quality Mark makes it easier for investors and their advisers to discern a fund's commitment to good governance.

Look out for funds displaying the Quality Mark!!!

Clare joined Citco in December 2025, to help lead on the marketing of their Real Assets business. Prior to this, Clare worked at AREF for 13 years, managing AREF’s marketing strategy, events calendar, and communications across digital and print, as well as being actively involved in a number of AREF committees, helping deliver initiatives that engaged and added value to members.

Before AREF, Clare worked for over 10 years in Aviva Investors’ Real Estate team, with roles spanning marketing, office management and executive support.
