AREF in conjunction with MSCI are undertaking a data survey to understand the availability and completeness of climate data across contributing funds to the MSCI/AREF index and Property Fund Vision.
So far, over 20 portfolios have contributed information from which we are able to draw initial conclusions but in order to really understand the overall footprint, more contributors are needed.
The data points have been shaped by the AREF ESG committee in conjunction with MSCI and include some of the following metrics:
EPC’s, Emissions Data, Net Zero Target, Green Leases and SFDR alignment
The results of the data availability survey will be anonymised and shared with contributors to the project along with insights in to the overall index.
