This year we have been supporting The Academy of Real Assets. The Academy is a membership organisation that helps its members execute their “S” strategy. In its first year 60 UK real estate and Real assets firms have joined and already, the impact it is having is being noticed across our industry and wider afield ( eg interview on SKY news in August 2022).
The Academy has relationships and partnerships with schools, youth groups, foundations and other entities, including the Foundations of the Premiership football clubs. The Academy then puts together events with these partners to allow its members to engage with and help the students that attend these organisations. Members can volunteer, for example, to mentor, speak to students, offer a site visit.
For the upcoming academic year there are already 50+ in person events right across the UK for members to really make an impact with students from difficult and challenging backgrounds. The annual cost of membership is only £2500 the first year and so The Academy is a cost-effective way for your firm to support the “S” initiatives of our wider industry but also to give your colleagues the opportunity to really make an impact.
