This is the second in a two-part report commissioned by the AREF Research Committee.
In 2020, AREF commissioned its first independent research project to investigate the changing shape of the UK real estate funds universe.
The first part of this research was published in 2022 (link), analysing the evolving state of the AREF funds’ universe over time and the major changes that had occurred since the global financial crisis. This second and final part of the research project focuses on the future of the UK real estate funds industry using feedback from industry participants gathered during the COVID pandemic.
Whilst being published in mid-2023, this industry feedback has formed the basis of much consideration and discussion at AREF over the last couple of years with a focus on ensuring that the industry tackles the key issues facing UK real estate and that AREF and its member funds remain fit for the future.
