AREF is pleased to announce we have become a member of the Academy of Real Assets, an Academy set up in 2021 by a group of real estate/real assets professionals, who joined forces to  do something practical about promoting diversity and helping those less fortunate than ourselves to learn more about a career in real estate.

AREF is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion, it is one of our current strategic priorities, however, we  recognise that there is only so much that we can do through our day-to-day activities, which is why we have decided to support The Academy of Real Assets and are proud of the vital work they do.

About The Academy of Real Assets

Their Mission:

Philanthropic:

  • To have significant and positive social impact on students from over 2,000 under-served, higher-need UK state schools;
  • To widen access to, and increase diversity in, the Real Estate, Real Asset and Investment worlds;

Intellectual and social:

  • Member events with guest speakers expert in fields other than Real Estate, Real Asset and Investing.

Their Objectives:

The Academy of Real Assets (www.acadrealassets.com) will hold regular virtual, and eventually live, events with students from the most under-served schools in the UK and set out to them all the opportunities for careers in real estate. The Academy will also, alongside The Property Chronicle, www.propertychronicle.com, hold a national essay competition giving these students from UK state schools the opportunity to be published globally by the magazine.

The Academy will, alongside its philanthropic activities, also hold regular events where members can hear from those who have excelled in something other than real estate.

The Academy of Real Assets Membership:

The Academy is a membership group open to any firm involved in any aspect of real estate and/or alternative real assets. To view a current list of the Academy members click here.
