This year the AREF Board launched a strategic initiative focusing on the residential sector. Our aim is to make AREF the central hub for institutional funds investing in the residential sector, whether solely or as part of a wider portfolio.

We are pleased to report that this important initiative has been gathering momentum, we have received positive feedback and increasing interest so far. We are planning to host a webinar in early December, titled ‘Is Residential now Commercial?’ at which Homes England, among others, will participate. Details on this will be released shortly.

We are also in the process of setting up a Residential Investment Committee to act as a special interest group. Those interested in the committee should write to info@aref.org.uk.

For further information on this initiative, please contact Ed Protheroe on eprotheroe@aref.org.uk.
